~ Symposium: Someone Like You! ~

Hello Everyone! Welcome to my November Symposium!

In honor of Thanksgiving I asked my friends and fellow authors if they had to choose, which hero from one of their books would they be most grateful to have in their lives and why. Find out what they had to say, and trust me…you will be highly entertained by their responses!

LAURIE ROMA: This was a difficult one to answer, because I love all the heroes of my books for various reasons. However, if I had to choose one, the hero that I would be most grateful to have in my life would have to be Julian King from my book One Shot. He is strong, smart and sexy - not to mention he would also be the perfect balance for my type of crazy. That being said, if I ever had a chance to travel to a place like Arcadia I would be very happy to spend the rest of my days with males like Saviar, Kadan and Tristan from my new book, Into the Ashes. I mean, who wouldn’t want three dragon-shifting warriors catering to their every desire? I certainly wouldn’t complain. *wink wink*

Raven Sanchez is a Chicago cop who has risen from the ashes of a painful past. Struggling with the disappearance of her friend, Raven seeks to find balance in her life, but everything changes when she’s struck by lightning and finds herself transported to another world.

Kings Savitar, Kadan and Tristan Akira have been searching for the woman who will complete their souls. Born in a world with a shortage of females, they fear that day will never come. When a goddess suddenly appears in the middle of their palace, they know she is the one they have been waiting for and claim her before she can escape.

Caught in a clash of cultures, Raven must forge a place for herself in this new world. When wills collide and legacies are unveiled, can she find a way to embrace being an Arcadian or will the fires of lust burn them all to ashes?

LUCY MONROE: Since all of my heroes have a little bit of my husband in them (he is the best friend and love interest inspiration!), I would be grateful to have any of them in my life. That said, my favorite lately is actually the hero from Million Dollar Christmas Proposal.  Like so many truly outstanding people, Enzo has got the right instincts, even if he hasn't been raised with the right examples.  He knows family comes first, he just thinks he can buy the missing components.  He wants to love, he just doesn't know how.  People with those kinds of intentions are always welcome in my life.  We don't have to be perfect; we just have to be trying.  Not for perfection, but to be the best and treat others the best we can.

Always read the fine print!

Tycoon Vincenzo Tomasi needs a new nanny for his niece and nephew by Christmas. And the million-dollar salary on offer will be more tempting than anything in Santa's sack! Audrey Miller already works for Enzo and loves children, and stepping into his family would dramatically help her own.

What Audrey doesn't know is that Enzo expects the right candidate to become his wife—and high on the requirements list is sexual compatibility. While she's lusted after her enigmatic boss for years, will innocent Audrey risk everything to explore her irresistible attraction in the most unlikely interview process ever?

JOEY W. HILL: In my upcoming release, Unrestrained, Dale Rousseau is a retired Navy SEAL. Since I have the pleasure of falling in love with each of my heroes (after I get through the editing process, which is when I usually want to murder them – lol), he’d be the one I’d choose this month as the person I’d be grateful to have in my life. Not just because he’s a hot sexual Dominant who knows how to do all sorts of amazing SEAL things, but because he also runs a dog shelter, gardens and helps out at the community center as a role model to teenage boys. Being a romance hero, he of course also finds the time to provide a firm hand and sensual guidance to my heroine, Athena, who is exploring her submissive side. Aside from all that, I love the fact Dale is a steady, compassionate man who nevertheless doesn’t hesitate to be tough when tough is needed. And he’s fifty. I love heroes who are mature, sexy men. They’ve figured things out and are past the games, simply wanting to connect to a woman and be what she needs.

Athena is a widow and an accomplished businesswoman. She's the type of person who exceeds expectations in business, family--life in general. Since the death of her husband, she's had a desire to explore submissive cravings she's had for some time. The hitch is, Athena is known as a Mistress, because that's the role she played to her husband.

Though she knew her submissive nature was strong enough to serve her husband as a Domme, because that's what he needed, it's when she meets Dale, a retired Navy SEAL, that she attempts to discover what her own submissive desires are. But letting go of that control is harder than she expected.

Fortunately, Dale is an accomplished Master who can help her accept the true nature of her submission, rather than how she's tailored it to meet the expectations of others. But in the course of learning what letting go means, both of them will learn a bit more about the nature of love between Dominant and submissive, and how it defies all categories.

GABRIELLE EVANS: Hmmm, a character I’d be thankful to have in my life? I think probably Zasha Gershwin from the Haven series. He’s uptight and a little high-strung, but we can work on that. While my OCD demands organization, I also have a tendency to get lost inside my own head. Getting me on task is akin to herding greased up bunnies. Zasha, on the other hand, is extremely organized and efficient. As the assistant to a powerful coven leader, he kind of needs to be. He takes direction well, but he’s also not afraid to step into the leadership role of any situation. Most importantly, he’s loyal to a fault. I’m not saying I need a keeper, but yeah…I need a keeper. I’d probably drive him crazy, especially when it comes to deadlines, but I’d pay him well. And I would hug him and squish him and call him Jarvis. *nods*

Zasha Gershwin lives a rigidly controlled life. He doesn’t see anything wrong with being prepared and organized, and he certainly doesn’t have time for such frivolous things as love. He cares for Thane, and he’s certainly attracted to the witch, but that’s just how the mating bond works.

While his mate may not remember their previous life together, Thane Braddock has no trouble recalling every moment, right up to their tragic end. Now, he has a second chance to make everything right. Unfortunately, he’s making all new mistakes this time around.

Evil lurks to the west, spreading its shadow across the desert, and the races hover on the verge of war. When the Braddocks are called to answer the rising threat, Thane and Zasha’s turbulent relationship will be pushed to its breaking point. Can they rekindle the old flame before it’s too late? Or is history destined to repeat itself?

N.J. WALTERS: If I had to pick one hero from all my books who I would be grateful to have in my life it would be Shamus O’Rourke. Shamus made his first appearance as a secondary character in Discovering Dani, the first book I ever wrote. Even though he was only a teenager in that book, I knew I’d one day be writing his story. Eventually, Shamus grew up and starred in his own book, The Seduction of Shamus O’Rourke. Shamus is the kind of guy who will stop to help a stranger change a flat tire. He’s hardworking, determined and loyal. He’ll do the right thing even when it’s not easy, and he’ll stand for the underdog. Everyone in town knows who he is and he’s very involved in his community. He’s the kind of man we all wish to call brother, husband or friend.

All small towns have secrets. This one could be deadly. Book 4 of Jamesville.

After her father’s death, Cyndi Marks returns to Jamesville, determined to settle here and lay the ghosts of years ago to rest once and for all. But the past has a way of catching up—and hanging on.

When her car breaks down outside of town, a handsome stranger stops to help. He intrigues and attracts her, but then she discovers who he is.

Shamus O’Rourke enjoys his job, his family and small town living. What he’s missing is someone with whom to share it. Immediately drawn to Cyndi, he is determined to get closer to her, even as he senses her pulling away.

But not everyone in Jamesville is happy to see Cyndi. People are hiding secrets. Secrets they would kill to protect. When violence erupts in her home, Cyndi turns to the only person in town she can trust—Shamus.

In a situation where family loyalties are strained, Cyndi’s life is threatened and everyone is a suspect, will their emerging love survive?

JENIKA SNOW: That one is easy! If I had to choose a hero from my book for real life I'd have to pick Reece Trenton from Giving it to the Bad Boy. He's strong and ruthless, but he also is kind and gentle. He comes from a rough background, had a horrible childhood, but doesn't that that ugliness control his life. He only wants what is right for the woman he loves, and goes to great lengths to make sure that she is taken care of. I would love to meet a man that doesn't let things hold him back, knows what he wants in life, and surrenders his need to dominate because he needs a strong woman to make him whole again. Who wouldn't want a hero that drops to his knees in front of her, despite the fact he is the strongest person she knows?

Alex Sheppard likes certain things: sex, parties, and the occasional fight to let off steam. But his wild ways catch up with him when he is put on football probation due to his lacking grade point average. When Mary Trellis offers to tutor him in exchange for a date to her sister's wedding, Alex sees it as an easy ride. She's smart, hot, and all she wants in return is one weekend of his company. Of course, nothing is as easy as it seems.

When Mary propositioned the tattooed and pierced bad boy, Alex, she didn't realize what she was getting herself into. He has a habit of being vulgar and obscene, but she still wants him. It isn't until they are alone that Mary realizes refusing Alex what he wants—her—is easier said than done.

LACEY THORN: I have to say that every hero I’ve ever created is my ideal of the perfect man/men, at least at the time the story is written. Plus, just like most firsts, I will always have a special place in my heart for Gil Daniels, the hero who popped my proverbial writer’s cherry! However, I’d be most grateful to have a Doug/Damon duo in my life. Every time I look at the poster of Bare Seduction on my wall, I heave a sigh of envy. Not to mention I’d get to spend the holidays with the entire extended Daniels clan!!!! How awesome would that be????

River, Tara, and Kat met in the police academy, decided to forgo becoming cops and try life as private investigators instead. That easily, Angel Investigations was born.

After a shooting involving her best friends and the detective who tormented them all, Tara is looking for healing. But she can’t forget, can’t heal, when someone is determined to keep reminding her, sending a picture to her phone every day. First, pictures of Detective Raymond Marino then graphic crime scene photos of women’s deaths. Is someone sending Tara a warning?

Kat’s brother and his two best friends have wanted Tara since they first met her. Charlie, Dasan, and Sam are determined to help her heal with as much TLC as she can handle. Three men set on giving her more pleasure than she’s ever known, as long as they rope her in before time runs out.

SUSAN HAYES: Yes, I picked two heroes, but my defence, they come as a package deal! Tucker Pine and Byron Triggs are the heroes of Windswept. They’re selkies, mythical seal shapeshifters known for their sexual prowess and charm. But there’s more to these two men than just their sexual stamina, and that’s why I would be so grateful to have them in my life. Tucker is a dark, brooding giant with an artist’s eye who could make me feel protected and safe while understanding the quirks that go with being a creative type. Byron has a playful nature and an uplifting energy that’s contagious to those around him. Having these two in my life would be an amazing gift in many ways, especially since their very existence would prove what I have suspect all along: there is magic hidden in the world, and some legends are more than myth.

When Vivian Waverly arrives in the small town of Tofino for her best friend’s wedding, her own love life is the last thing on her mind. The winds of fate are changing, and soon she finds herself falling for the sinfully sexy owners of Breakers, the local bar.

Tucker Pine and Byron Triggs are selkies, seal shapeshifters from the colony of Kismet Cove. Bound together by blood, the two of them are destined to share a mate. They’ve just about given up hope of finding her when Vivian turns their world and their hearts upside down.

Before long dark secrets, old wounds, and new enemies conspire against the three lovers. They’ll have to fight to stay together, defying family and tradition along the way.  When trust is broken and forces conspire against them, can their love weather the storm?

BUY LINK:

ROSANNA LEO: Why am I thankful to have my hero Soren Snow in my life? Well, he stimulates me on so many levels. As a bear shifter, he indulges my love of the paranormal world. As a famous percussionist, he makes beautiful music. As a red-blooded, hotter-than-hot man, he, ahem, tickles my every fancy. Soren is the sort of gorgeous, blond god of a man who makes a woman’s throat dry out. And he doesn’t just look the part; this man has taken great pains to discover what makes a woman purr. Yes, if I could curl up with any of my heroes this Thanksgiving, I’d have to give Soren some serious consideration. After all, in the book, there was the thing he did with his…oh well. I don’t want to give too much away. You might need to read it for yourself.

There are three things that make bear shifter Soren Snow’s skin crawl: mothers, their children, and the great outdoors. Soren is a famed musician and playboy, and he would rather spend his days pressing the flesh with the women in his fan club than developing meaningful relationships. When his brother calls in a favor, forcing Soren to revisit the Ursa Fishing Lodge in Northern Ontario, he couldn’t be more displeased. However, he owes his brother big time.

Gioia Clementine would rather not meet Soren, her drummer son’s rock idol. But when tragedy strikes her home, it seems the only one the boy might respond to is Soren. Gioia begrudgingly agrees to let her son meet him, hoping the rock star won’t turn her tween into a musical misogynist.

When Gioia and Soren meet, the sexual chemistry threatens to set the Ontario woodland ablaze. Can these two opposites find a common ground? And can they manage to resolve their unwanted feelings, even when a mysterious stranger arrives at the lodge, threatening everything?

KENNEDY LAYNE: Laurie is making me pick one hero I would be grateful to have in my life…I think there’s a bit of sadist running through her!  How to choose?  Well, I’m currently writing a hero by the name of Jax Christensen, who through his growth arc, has realized how precious family truly is.  I think a man who values friends and family as much as Jax would be a person anyone would be lucky to claim as either a friend, brother, uncle, or husband.  He’s not perfect and he has his flaws, but Jax will always do the right thing in the interest of those he loves.  At a time when we stop to give thanks during the holidays, I am honored to be able to write a character that has a true sense of what really matters in life.

When former Marine, Connor Ortega, was ordered into the offices of Crest Security Agency on a Saturday morning, he didn’t expect the latest case to hit so close to home.  A submissive has been murdered in a particularly vicious manner and to bring her killer to justice, he must go undercover.  Not hard to do considering he’s already part of the BDSM lifestyle.

Lauren Bailey, a local vendor of bejeweled erotic implements, lives vicariously through her clients due to her fear of bondage.  When Connor’s dominant side can’t resist trying to ease her anxieties, she accepts his proposal and agrees to his one stipulation…keep things casual.

When the killer sets his sights on Lauren, Connor is forced rethink their relationship.  He has the training it takes to catch a murderer, but does he have the courage to escape his inner demons and capture Lauren’s heart?

ERIKA REED: I couldn’t be more proud of my characters in Protecting Lexi. Ex-Marines Kane and Max Walker were hot and sexy brothers that knew how to use a gun. They had promised to help keep Lexi safe while in their protection at their ranch. Lexi was the star witness to a murder late one night after work. After finding out that the murderer had escaped from jail and was hot on her tail to kill her so she wouldn’t testify against him. She knew she was in desperate need of Max and Kane’s assistance to keep her safe until the killer was caught. I felt the deep bond between the brothers and the love connection that was forming between the threesome along the way. I feel as though men like Kane and Max, resilient and protective brothers are very real in life. They will always hold a special place in my heart.

When Amber Green is offered a new job and a chance to move to a tropical paradise, she says yes and packs her bags, leaving her old life behind. Or so she thinks…

Millionaire Reid Sullivan is a widower who is immediately intrigued by Amber, and offers the beautiful woman a job to work for him as his live-in housekeeper after hearing she needs a place to stay.

Dante DeSoto is a hard-ass detective from Chicago whose investigation leads him to Sunset Point after the sudden death of Amber’s ex-boyfriend. Upon meeting the gentle beauty, he is convinced of Amber's innocence. Dante decides to stay on the island so that he and Reid can help protect her.

Both men want Amber, but they’re going to have to find a way to share. With old demons and new dangers dogging them every step of the way, the three lovers will have to fight for the happily ever after they long to share.

JANA DOWNS: I have a weakness. His name is Corbin and he is an Grizzly bear and Grade A Dominant no matter how you slice it. If I started rattling off all the reasons why he’s a hottie including his six-six frame, his dark eyes, dark hair, and come-and-get-it smile, I would be writing all day. It’s not just his yumminess that is a reason to be grateful for his presence though. He’s fiercely loyal, protective as all get out, and adores his family with a passion anyone would be honored to be at the center of. So why would this man be the hero I would be grateful to have in my life? Because he’s so darn good at being that hero.

Trying to convince the gladiator master, Flavius, that bear shifter Corbin is what he needs is no easy task when the world says otherwise. The upcoming gladiatorial match takes the two of them to New Orleans, and Corbin hopes the change in scenery may be just what they need to get their relationship officially off the ground.

Flavius’s connection to Corbin could earn him jail time if he's ever caught, but he can't stop touching him or deny the ever-present connection between them. Resolving to stay away from Corbin has been terrifically ineffective, but the match provides him the opportunity to create greater distance if he has the self-control to follow through.

However, the event throws Flavius a curve ball that neither of them expects and it will take both of them to deal with the fallout. Will they buckle under the newfound pressure or will they find something unexpectedly sweet in a world designed to keep them apart?

HENNESSEE ANDREWS: One hero from my books I’d be grateful to have in my life would have to be Dane Hutchinson. There are a couple of reasons for my choice. Dane is charming, driven, and doesn’t take no for an answer. When he makes up his mind he pushes until his dream becomes a reality. Positive people and goal seekers are good company to keep. I am reminded of a quote by Zig Ziglar that Dane would be a fan of, “Positive thinking will let you do everything better than negative thinking will.” One sure fire way to stay positive and on track is to surround yourself with like people. Negative thoughts and conversations bring us down and mucks up even the best laid plans. Outside of Dane’s charming nature he loves to laugh and enjoy life.

Being sequestered on Sunset Point Island is the least of Lane Erikson’s worries. Being a witness to a murder may be her demise. What does one do when a network of FBI wanted criminals are looking to kill you? You run like hell, even it’s to a place you’ve never heard of.

Dane Hutchinson, local tattoo artist, sets his sights on winning Lane’s affection and sharing her with Bannock Garrison, Sunset Point police officer. Bannock never wanted a ménage relationship, even though his parents have lived a happy life in one. The idea of sharing a woman bothers him, but losing Dane’s friendship bothers him more.

As the relationship begins to soar with possibilities, Lane is faced with her world crashing down again and her life hangs in the balance. Can Bannock and his colleagues save the day? More importantly, can Bannock overcome his distrust for women and allow Lane into his heart and share her with his best friend?

LORI KING: I think the hero that I would most like to have in my life on a full time basis would be Hudson Brooks from Weekend Surrender. He is an extremely sensitive, considerate, and romantic soul. Throughout the story he shows that he can be light hearted and flirty, sexy and sensual, and supportive when necessary. If I could steal him and convince Mr. King we needed a third, I would totally take Hudson!

The Surrender Trilogy Book 1: After another painful betrayal and break up, Rachael Morgan sets out to prove to herself that she can handle a good time with a man and walk away sexually satisfied and with her heart intact. She could have never imagined that she would be agreeing to the proposition of a lifetime. Every woman in Stone River, Texas would jump at this chance, but she’s afraid she’ll leave pieces of her heart behind.

Raised on their family ranch the four Brooks brothers have always shared everything. Even women.  When they find themselves face to face with the one person who could complete them all, they set out on a journey to claim her for their own.

Fate can place them all in the right place at the right time, but will Rachel be able to overcome her relationship scars, or is she destined to live her life alone believing that no man ever stays?

BUY LINK:

MARLA MONROE: If I had to choose a hero from my books, I would have to choose—two. After all, I write ménages. Jessup and Joseph from Nessa’s Two Shifters. I want that kind of intense devotion that shifters have when they meet their mate. They are totally focused on her and making her happy. Yes, sometimes all that testosterone can be a bit overwhelming, but trust me, it would be worth it. I would never have to worry about anything with them in my life. They would protect me, feed me, care for me, and keep me satisfied in every way. Just the thought of all that prime male real estate for me and only me sends chills down my back just thinking about it. I would never worry about them straying with that whole mate thing going on either. Yep, shifters are perfect!

Maximillian “Max” Dominguez and Sawyer Jernigan stop for coffee and find their perfect woman. The trouble is, they’re Doms who run the local BDSM club, and Taylor Rizzoli’s never tasted the forbidden pleasure of submission.

Max is willing to curb his dark desires for the chance to have her, but Sawyer believes she’s more than up for the challenges they’d have in store for her. They find out someone wants her gone and isn’t worried about how they remove her from the picture.

They are determined to uncover the plot to get rid of her and enlist their new friends to help. Can Taylor accept two men who arouse in her things she’d never have contemplated before meeting them, or will she shy away from what they have to offer? What happens when the threat is gone and it’s just the three of them and a dungeon full of toys?

TYMBER DALTON: I’m lucky that two of my heroes ARE very much in my life. :) Hubby was the model (mostly, except he’s not British LOL) for Tyler from my “Love Slave for Two” series. Although a couple of Hubby’s quirks also show up in Brodey Lyall from my “Triple Trouble” series. I’m not joking when I say I’m married to the World’s Best Husband(TM). LOL He’s my best friend and my soulmate, and we’ve been together over 16 years now, and are looking forward to many more. The other is Tony, featured in my book “The Denim Dom” of my “Suncoast Society” series. He is based very much on my own Sir. (His original iterations in “Domme by Default” and “The Reluctant Dom” were before I’d met Him, but were spookily very much like Him. LOL While my situation with Sir wasn’t exactly like Shayla’s with Tony (we became friends first, and I started out co-topping Him with a friend of ours before we branched out into me submitting to Him, and then settling into that as our “default” mode) there are several scenes and things in “The Denim Dom” that were pulled verbatim from real life. Like the greeting ritual. :)

Who needs leather when you can have denim? A denim Dom, that is.

Shayla Pierce dumped her lying ex and moved to Florida to start a job at a magazine. An assignment to write about BDSM leads her to discover a new world and make a slew of new friends, including the sinfully sexy Tony Daniels. She's just not sure she can ever trust again.

Tony is used to teaching about BDSM, but he's never trained a submissive he wasn't dating before. After losing hope he'll ever find the perfect submissive for him, Shayla walks into his life and asks him to train her for her series of articles. He knows about her bad break-up and their agreement is supposed to be nothing more than business. But as she raises the ante, he's finding it harder to keep his heart under lock and key.

Will Shayla stay a hostage to her past, or allow Tony to become her Denim Dom?

ZOEY MARCEL: Thank you so much for having me here today, Laurie! :) If I could make one hero in a book I’ve written come to life it would be Sheriff Ben Easton from Badge of Temptation and Masters of Temptation. I like all my heroes and downright love some of them, but he’s my favorite. :) Ben is just a good blend of loving and alpha. He’s masculine, sexy, protective, dominant, hard-working, funny sometimes – good husband material. When I wrote him I wanted to write someone who was manly and alpha, but also very human. He and Jill were both flawed and their relationship wasn’t perfect, but they were perfect for each other. I enjoyed writing about a relationship that took hard work and healing to make it last. In life, though, relationships have to be worked at sometimes, even the really good ones.

Jade Flowers has her hands full with five men. Convincing Bane Kennedy to share her permanently won’t be easy. Things get even more complicated when she discovers a sixth mate in Patrick O’Hara, Doc’s submissive.

But her damaged cowboy, Stetson Brooks, is still haunted by the past. Doc McClellan, Sawyer Brooks, and Kellan Brooks encourage Jade to persuade Stetson to train her as his submissive in hopes that he’ll eventually join their ménage.

Stetson Brooks fights his desire to dominate Jade, convinced she can’t handle him. But when a ghost from his past comes back from the dead seeking revenge, Stetson decides to be her Dom and make a baby with Jade in hopes that the woman he loves will have something to remember him by when he’s gone.

Stetson discovers that his enemy isn’t the only thing that’s been resurrected. Dark needs long buried in Stetson’s past have also emerged. Needs only Doc can fulfill.

MELODY SNOW MONROE: After 45 or so books, I think my favorite hero was Harper Anderson from Freedom to Love [book 3 of the Freedom, Colorado series]. Harper was so tortured. He was the only hero I’d written who’d been widowed. His wife had died presumably by the hand of a man who Harper had tried to put away. This was all about retribution. When Harper meets Holly Morganton, he’s fascinated, but he can’t dishonor his dead wife’s memory and be with her. When I had him go to the cemetery and tell his deceased wife that he’d found someone new, I felt his pain. Only by the end of the book was he able to learn what love meant, that his wife would want him to be happy.

Ashley Milosino has no job, no money, and few job prospects. When her friend’s brother, Tatum Morganton, moves to Freedom, Colorado to fill the vacancy of deputy, she gives in and agrees to show him around. His roommate, Drexel Ford, great-grandson of Henry Ford, is in town to find himself. He can’t afford for anyone to get close and learn his secret. Then why did he suggest Ashley work at the auto repair shop where he just signed on?

The sexual tension heats up, and when the three of them do get together, things explode. Against his better judgment, Drex falls for Ashley, and when he tells her the truth about himself, she is furious. Trying to solve the problem, he buys a building for her so she can fulfill her dreams. She wants to succeed on her own and dumps him.

What can he and Tatum do to restore order to their breaking hearts?

SIOBHAN MUIR: The hero I’d pick is Zachary Snow, an Ice Demon and Search & Rescue professional. Zach has a strong love of life and he’s willing to save those in trouble no matter the weather. Of course, being an Ice Demon, he has the unique ability to manipulate the snow and ice storms, so he’s pretty handy to have around during avalanche season. One of the cool things about his ability to manipulate ice is he can decorate for the holidays with snowflake ornaments. Literally. And his magic keeps them from melting. Talk about a winter wonderland. But I’m most grateful for his appreciation of humans and their bright color of life. The Ice Demon world is all about blues, greens, white, and gray. He loves our crimson and gold gear, and appreciates the bright energy that makes humans so unique. Makes me want to dress in Christmas colors.

For Lily Sinclair, Christmas means sorrow and loss since the death of her twin brother. The magic is gone and she only wants to see her brother one more time. As an Ice Demon Zachary Snow is used to rescuing people in winter, but he’d never rescued anyone like Lily. Now he must convince her the magic she wants is in life itself.

CASSIDY BROWNING: You know I often think of how nice it would be to have some of the hero’s we write step out of the pages of our books and join us in real life. For me, I think the ones I would most like to see in real life are the heroes of our latest story, Write of Submission. Those two are Kane, a successful erotic romance author and his partner, Dante who is a marketing guru. In that story Kane takes a new writer under his wing and co write a book with her. Dante uses his marketing know how to take their work and make her a star. I would be very grateful for that kind of help right now, lol. Have a great Holiday season everyone.

Nikki Sutherland can’t believe her luck. She’s won an all-expenses paid trip to the BDSM resort Clifftop Fantasies to coauthor a book with her idol, erotic romance author Candee Appelbaum. Unfortunately, Candee is really a man—a very good-looking man—named Kane Harris.

Another gorgeous hunk, Dante Hunter, is also at Clifftop to market the resort owner’s new cookbook, Stealth Veggies. The guys are both younger than her and way out of her league—or so she thinks. Even worse, Kane is a wisecracking eccentric with a skewed fashion sense and an odd taste in music who writes late at night with a bottle of wine. Dante likes to do his thinking during yoga or biking, things Nikki hasn’t done in years.

Nikki’s journey teaches her the difference between reading hot, sexy ménage scenes and living them with the two best-looking guys she’s ever met. Can she handle the Writes of Submission?

TARA ROSE: The hero I would most like to have in my life is Phil Parkwood, from Persuading Eve, Passion Peak, Colorado 5. Phil would make a great friend. He’s not only an ex-Marine, but he’s a Passion Peak police sergeant who wasn’t afraid to stand up to a fellow police officer three years before the story begins. The officer was also an ex-Marine, was abusing his wife, and was on the take. Phil helped Eve Rydell escape her marriage from hell, and then he helped her hide out in Racy, Indiana with her second cousin, Evan. Once it was safe for her to return to Passion Peak, she and Phil fell in love. And although Phil is also an experienced Dom, his care, tenderness and patience for Eve and her many triggers is a testament to loving Doms everywhere. This is how a Dom/sub relationship is supposed to be.

Vet tech Eve Rydell escaped an abusive marriage with the help of Dom and fiancé Phil Parkwood, and her life seems perfect. When Phil suggests a threesome with his cousin, Knox Parkwood, Eve is intrigued and agrees. But when she spots a man she thinks is her ex-husband, her illusion of a perfect life is shattered.

Passion Peak police sergeant Phil Parkwood helped put a gang of serial rapists in jail in Wyoming five years earlier. When one of them makes parole, he is spotted in Passion Peak. Will his fiancée and sub, Eve, become a target?

Knox Parkwood owns an auto detailing and repair shop, but while his business thrives, his love life is a disaster. When Phil invites him over for dinner and a threesome with Eve, he falls like a stone for her. But while his relationship with Eve blossoms, she is targeted by a stranger loose on the streets of Passion Peak.

KAREN MERCURY: I often wish Tate Gooding would walk in the door.  He’s the deep undercover restaurant inspector for the powerful Hamsun guidebook company in my new MF release, Her Master’s Choice.  I based him on the Bad Boy version of Johnny Depp, with tattoos, ear cuff, and attitude to spare. He literally walks into the heroine’s restaurant, takes one look at her, and says “You need to get laid.  And by someone who knows what he’s doing.”  No one realizes he’s the influential rater they’ve been dreading—they mistake him for a rock musician.  Of course Shannon is appalled at first, but soon realizes he’s right. Tate’s control and domination gives Shannon a sense of security that I think everyone wishes to have.  Life is hazardous and aggravating enough.  Tate wraps Shannon in a cloak of power and a sense of order and safety.  I think everyone would like that in their lives.

When Shannon Bloomfield hears a rumor that an influential, anonymous food critic is visiting her restaurant, she has no idea it’s the exotic, erotic bad boy Tate Gooding who holds her fate in his culinary hands.  Tate, burned out on the club circuit life and traveling around the States for his guidebook company, wants a deeper, more meaningful relationship with the three-star chef.

Tate instructs Shannon in a thrilling new realm of private—and public—play, pushing her limits with every new scene.  Shannon discovers that her inner “Force-Me Queen” is an expert tease, skilled at keeping Tate on the edge.

But a creepy stalker has photos and threatens to expose Tate’s cover and their back alley scenes.  Tracking down the culprit brings the couple closer than ever in their power plays, and Shannon learns that breaking out of her comfort zone is an arousing adventure when it’s Her Master’s Choice.

WILLOW BROOKE: Thank you so much to the fabtastic Laurie Roma for inviting me to join such a great event. If I had to pick one hero from my work that I would be honored to have in my life, there is no doubt that MSG. Nick Hughes, a.k.a. Kodiak, from my Breaking Protocol series would be my number one pick.  Kodiak is a fighting machine, huge, strong, and tough... with the heart of a teddy bear.  His sincere love for others and compassion would be a welcome addition to anyone's life.  From animals to children, his character loves and protects.  And, if by some chance anyone ever tried to harm me or my family, having a ginormous, dangerously trained soldier as a friend or family member wouldn't hurt either. ;)

With the battle heating up, the team enlists four more soldiers, accepting them into their tight knit family.  Men they have worked side-by-side with in the past and who specialize in extractions.  Bullet fly as things turn nasty and the team loses one of their own, killed saving his troops.  He leaves his high school sweatheart a widow, caring for their two small children.

Bella, her heart and soul shattered as she is faced with the biggest tragedy of her life spirals into a deep darkness.  Her only way out after the world crashed down on her is when a friend steps in to push the boundaries to get her back.
Joker hopes for her sake and his, he can keep from crossing the boundaries that will take him to a place he vowed never to go?  A bond is formed as two people grieve for the same person, a lover and a husband to one and the closest thing to a brother for the other.

The decision is left in the hands of fate:  Will it allow for a second chance in love or is there only one destiny?  All this takes place as the team readies for the biggest battle of their career.  With U.S. politicians involved, their mission is interesting to say the least.  If they succeed, they will surely go down in the history books as heroes.  If they fail, the consequences could be deadly.  With bigger forces than they had ever imagined against them, the team is determined to slam the hammer of justice down on those in the brutal reality that awaits.

Can they conquer and kill the ones who threaten life as we know it?  Can broken hearts be mended through a broken battlefield?
